Our absolute priority
The Health and Safety of our employees and contractors are fundamental values and a top priority of LAVA across its business. Since 2006, HERACLES Group, a member of the Holcim Group, has implemented the Health, Safety and Environmental Protection Policy να είναι clickable και να συνδεθεί με το pdf της Πολιτικής) in our mines, aiming at zero accidents.
Bearing this in mind, we work systematically within an integrated HSMS. Our efforts are bearing fruit as we have seen our Health & Safety performance steadily improving and the prevention culture progressively strengthened in recent years.
We systematically endeavour to implement measures regarding equipment, use of Personal Protective Equipment, standards and procedures for all tasks executed and deliver appropriate training programmes to foster a common understanding of a safe behaviour.
In order to achieve our zero-accident target and minimise lost time incidents (LTIs), we:
- inform our employees and contractors of the risks involved in their tasks and provides them with appropriate training;
- supervise the systematic implementation of safety standards;
- implement incident reporting procedures and perform regular inspections;
- identify best practices and inform all units ensuring their implementation.
