This initiative covers emergency air transport due to sudden illness or accident by fully manned and equipped helicopter. Furthermore, the plan provides unlimited, 24\/7 access to the &#8220;Health Line 1010\u201d for all Nisyros residents to receive medical advice from the doctors of INTERAMERICAN.<\/p><p><strong>Mr. Christofis Koroneos<\/strong>, <strong>Mayor of Nisyros<\/strong>, said &#8220;The Municipality of Nisyros and LAVA have a partnership that dates back to the 1950s. The contribution of LAVA to the economic and population sustainability of Nisyros has been considerable over the years. Donations meeting the needs of the island in education and healthcare contribute to social progress.
